California State University, Northridge

California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is the largest single campus university in the United States. It is located in Northridge, California, in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. CSUN is one of 23 California State Universities, and offers a wide variety of degree programs. The school is considered an important player in the academic prosperity of the state of California.

CSUN is a member of the California State University International Programs, which allows students to explore the world while on campus. Additionally, CSUN participates in a wide range of academic and cultural activities, such as the annual International Conference on Technology and Persons with Disabilities. In addition, CSUN offers 58 master’s degree courses, and two doctorate degrees.

CSUN is home to the National Center on Deafness, which provides services to deaf students. This program is the only one of its kind in the U.S. Aside from the national center, CSUN also hosts the International Conference on Technology and Persons with Disabilities.

CSUN has a large undergraduate body, allowing for a variety of educational opportunities for both traditional and adult learners. Over 85% of the school’s full-time beginning undergraduates received financial aid in 2014. Many faculty members have received grants and fellowships for research and teaching, with the most notable awards going to Sabina Magliocco and Kim Victoria Abeles.

CSUN offers a number of clubs and organizations, including the Lambda Theta Phi sorority, the Alpha Kappa Alpha National Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Gamma Zeta Alpha fraternity. CSUN has also been recognized as a leading music school, with several Grammy award-winning artists.

As of fall 2015, there were 41,548 students enrolled at CSUN. Approximately 82% of those undergraduates returned to the school for a sophomore year. During that same time, 54% of those first-year full-time undergrads earned their Bachelor’s degree.

With its diverse student body, a wide array of academic and extracurricular activities, and a location in an urban area, CSUN is a top choice for higher education in the city of Los Angeles.
